Sunrise Rotary

The most fun you’ll have at 7 a.m. in Springfield, Missouri.

For more than three decades, the Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise has been a place where people from all walks of life come together with a common purpose: to serve, to connect, and to make our community stronger. Whether it’s volunteering locally, supporting international projects, or simply showing up for each other week after week, this club thrives because of the energy and commitment of its members.

As we step into the 2025–2026 Rotary year, we do so under the Rotary International President’s Message: Unite for Good. It’s a simple but powerful reminder that our greatest impact happens when we work together—with each other, with our neighbors, and with the broader Rotary family around the world. It’s not just about doing good; it’s about building lasting partnerships that make that good sustainable.

Our focus this year will be on:

  • Strengthening connections—within our club and throughout our community. Relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

  • Embracing new energy and ideas, while honoring the traditions and values that have shaped Sunrise since 1989.

  • Serving with purpose—in ways that are fun, creative, and responsive to the needs of our region.

One thing you can always count on when you walk into the Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise:

  1. You’ll be welcomed—genuinely.

  2. You’ll find people who care deeply about making a difference.

  3. You’ll leave feeling more energized and hopeful than when you arrived.

We strike the right balance—focused when it matters, and lighthearted when it lifts us—because joy has a place in service too. So, whether you’re a seasoned Rotarian, a potential new member, or someone just curious about who we are and what we do, we invite you to come to a meeting. We know you’ll want to come back.

Let’s make 2025–2026 a year of connection, service, and impact—as we Unite for Good.

Service

Service Projects

Part of what we do as Rotarians is partner with local nonprofits and volunteer our time and intentionality. Service Above Self is one of the many commonalities in our club.

Partnership

Along with volunteering our time, every 3 years we choose a local nonprofit to award a grant to. This monetary gift allows to to partner in a deeper, more impactful way.

"Anytime a group of Sunrisers are together, either at a meeting, a social event, a service project, or just getting together, before going our separate ways we spend time talking about family and about Rotary. It happens every time we see one another. There is a genuine concern for one another."

- Ron Weis, member since 2004
